Structured products like investment notes, or structured debt?

I interviewed for one of these roles. I received zero technical questions. all personality type stuff

related to those exotic options…barrier options, reverse convertibles…it’s like trader assistant role…doing trade reviews/confirmation and other stuff. It is pretty tedious. I wasn’t very interested. The job description says VBA would be considered as an asset. My Resume didn’t mention VBA at all and yet I was still selected for an interview, which surpirsed me a little…

Well, ok. I don’t know what questions they will ask, but I know all about that business. If you’re in Canada, my first guess is that it’s with RBC. Maybe it’s with another of the bigger banks…

Anyway, you should read some basic material about options, and a bit about the payoff of exotic options (you will not be able to actually learn the pricing math).

Here is a book written by one of those muppets, and some chapters will be of some value to this role.

The job is probably boring, as they will repeat the same work over and over again. However, you will probably get paid decently if you get promoted. Like 90% of IB compensation for 55% of the work.
