ICMA Fixed Income Certificate

Hi, while searching for further education I came across the Fixed Income Certificate by ICMA.

Would be supported (and paid) by my employer. Do you think it is worth it? Or just waste of time? What about reputation? Currently working in FI PM, so based on the topics it would be a nice fit.

Any experiences with that programm? If yes, online course or the ‘traditional’ one?

Is this what you’re talking about:

“FIC candidates also qualify for 30 credit hours under the guidelines of the CFA Institute’s Continuing Education Programme.” WTF is that, you don’t need CE for the CFA. Your employer obviously sees some value in it if they’re willing to flip the bill for it but my question would be whether they’re going to give you a raise because of it.

Personally, I would just focus on your Level II exam coming up and not bother with this. Just my $0.02 though.
