Masters programs in Canada with 15 years of education?

I was told that MBA and MFin programs in Canada require candidates to have 16 years of education rather than 15 years. I was further advised to pursue a PGDM in one of the colleges below.

Lambton college- https://www.lambtoncollege.ca/custom/LambtonApps/Programs/International.aspx?id=2147503710&type=CP&location=Toronto

Douglas college- http://www.douglascollege.ca/programs-courses/catalogue/programs/PDFIPL

Seneca college- http://www.senecacollege.ca/fulltime/FIP.html

Humber college - https://business.humber.ca/programs/postgraduate-certificates/financial-planning.html

Doing so would make me eligible for MBA/MFin and also enable me to get work experience. Is this a sound plan or are there better alternatives to go about so that I’m eligible for Masters programs?

I guess it would depend on why you are doing your MBA / MFin. Most MBAs programs in Canada are money grabs and will take anyone with a semi-decent resume if you can pay (some don’t even require a GMAT). Not sure what your situation is like, but I am having trouble understanding how the course above would make you eligible for an MBA vs. not. Maybe just apply for an MBA program of your choice and see if they take you?

As per my career counselor, these courses would cover the 1 year of education I’m missing right now, making me eligible for MBA and MFin. And even then, I’m in two minds about applying for MBA because the inclination is towards candidates with work experience, be it for admissions or during placements. So I’m mostly inclined towards an MFin.
