Credit Analyst Exit Opportunity

I would really appreciate if people can throw some light in exit opportunities.

the pinnacle of “credit” in my opinion would be trading high yield loans at a hedge fund “managing a credit portfolio”… other than that you could look into moving into alternatives ljke structured products (CLOs)… the skill set is all the same

Bump

I don’t know about “trading high yield loan”…you do not want to be a trader of any sort.

Analyst: (after a presentation) …I give it a strong go on this.

PM: I agree. Hey Trader, buy 2mm of first lien at limit of 78.5

Trader: I will call few of the traders (salesmen).

Few min later

Trader: Bought at 78

To answer your question OP, you can go into fixed income fund either for hedge funds, mutual funds, asset manager…it is a fun route i heard. no different than equity ressearch - researching, looking at company filins, talking to the mgmt, modeling, etc.

Thank you.
