Unemployed/interning for second half of 2010, thank freakin’ god I got a job offer at the end of it. Boss gave me an iPod shuffle as my christmas gift. It was clearly a re-gift, hilarious: Boss: Here [hands me unwrapped, but still-boxed shuffle]…do you know what this is? Me: Yeah, it’s a shuffle. The newest version, I think. Boss: Do you have one? Me: An iPod? Sort of…I have a full-size that’s currently dead. I have to switch the battery to get it working again. Boss: Why not just get a new one? Me: I don’t believe in planned obsolescence… Boss: What? Are you ki- Here. Just, take this, a broker gave it to me. I have no use for it.
