Bookshelf - Annotations in the ebook

Hey guys and girls,

(More or less) recent tablets and laptops offer the feature of taking notes on the screen with a stylus. Has anyone used this with the ebook of the curriculum to highlight sentences, take hand-written notes, etc.? Is it even possible within Bookshelf?

I wonder whether the ebook might have become a real alternative to the paper version…

I have used Bookshelf on a smartphone with a stylus but it was limited to the functionality of the app, which is taking notes and highlighting. I was not able to create handwritten notes as the VitalSource interface does not, to my knowledge, have such a feature.
