Investment Company Corporate Reorg Position?

Responsible for assisting Analysts and Senior Analysts in all areas of Corporate Reorganization, in the collection of specific issuer data through reading and research to ensure proper implementation of corporate events by applying the firms investment philosophy across all affected client portfolios within the firm using multiple systems including both internal and external platforms. Assist with daily pricing and proxy voting processes. Interacts with several divisions within the company, including; Investments, Portfolio Management, Trading, and Operations. Any thoughts on the position, I have not heard very much on a strictly corporate reorg job? What would one assume this job leads to or is it just a BOM position?
