70% is a figure being seen on this forum quite frequently. Is it percentage of marks or is it percentile of candidates qualifying? Now keeping in view that around 35% of candiates are passing on average, it makes more sense to beleive that if some one is above 70th percentile, should be ok. For me, it is difficult to make a link between 70% of marks and number of candidates passing. Or am i missing something ?
70%. I.e. you answer 70% of the questions correctly.
