Does contributed capital include 1. investors who have purchased shares in a company (and have become shareholders) and 2. Shareholders who have purchased additional shares?
Contributed capital is all the money received by the company for selling shares (common or preferred). It doesn’t matter whether the shares are sold in the initial offering or in a subsequent offering.
