CFA L1 Study Strategy

Hello guys,

I’d like to know your thoughts on which strategy works better.

Read through the whole Schweser notes from start to end and then practice using Qbanks & Practice exams or…

Read and Schweser notes and do EOC problems or Qbanks as you go?

Thanks!

Everyone should design a strategy that works for them, their schedule, and their current aptitude in finance. With that said, I think there are a couple golden rules of prepping for any of these exams. Doing all the EOCs in the CFAI curriculum is one of them, so is getting a sufficient number of mocks in the month leading up to the actual exam. I’d also venture to say most people would be in a better position come that last month review if they took the time to periodically do qbank quizzes as they went through all the material.

EOC while you go. Each time you open your books drill ten questions from previous study sessions. Topic tests and Qbank when done. Revise weak areas. Mocks during last month with topic tests to supplment weak areas. Rinse and repeat last step with 45 days or less to go.
