minutiae details... any advice

I am averaging 66% through 2 full CFAI mock exams. I find it very frustrating how well I do on the problems that require detailed calculations and in depth understanding of core financial concepts, but seem to butcher the questions that are “random.”

For instance, ratio vs. ordinal vs. interval in QM. Planning, execution, and feedback in PM. ESG in Corp Fina and other miscellaneous stuff. Any tips on these areas…
