Eurobonds - quick Q

Quick question on Eurobonds:

Let’s say we have a Euroyen bond. I understand that this bond will be issued in the Yen currency, outside of Japan, but does it also mean that the issuing company has to be non-Japanese?

If a Japanese company issues a bond outside of Japan, in the yen currency, is it still called a Euroyen bond (if not, what is it called)?

Thanks.

No, a Eurobond is issued in a currency other than the domestic currency of the country of issuance. The nationality of the issuer is irrelevant, so a Japanese company can issue a yen-denominated bond in Germany (or Brazil, or India, etc.).

A foreign bond is issued by a foreign company in the currency of the company where issued.
