Riding the yield curve.

Why is the yield curve downward sloping? Is this the same as the yield curve downward sloping in the long-run assumption?

Yield curves are normally upward sloping, which is useful in riding the yield curve.

An inverted (downward sloping) yield curve would make riding the yield curve much less popular.

In terms of physics and gravity a downward sloping yield curve would be ideal for riding though…
