How many decimal should be set for calculator? Is 4 enough? There are so many small rates to deal with for fixed income and derivatives.
And how to set up decimal on BA 2 PLUS?

[2nd][FORMAT][9][ENTER]
Calculator set to mode ‘9’ will disregard decimal when the value is a whole number.
4 is enough.
i would suggest to set it to the max - and then do the decimal conversion after seeing the # of decimals in the answer.
Setting it to 4 and performing a series of calculations (esp on the derivatives valuation questions) may lead you to over estimate / under estimate your answer by quite a bit.
Thank you all.
4
9
Ihad 5 and was I facing this issue in series of calculations, looks like standard is 4
Depends what is assumed to calculate. For accounting measures 2 is enough. For derivatives, currencies etc. 6 is optimal, I mean for exam purpose.
I think I need two calculators on exam day.
