consolidation: upstream and downstream sales

For upstream sales: earnings from upstream sales - ONLY part not resold by the mother to 3rd party (x % of ownership) has to be deducted from consolidation.

For downstream sales: the whole earnings (x % of ownership) has to be deducted from consolidation.

Is this correct??

The calculation’s the same whether the sale is upstream or downstream: the deduction is the total profit times the percentage unsold times the percentage ownership in the subsidiary.
