Here are my 2 cents:
Perfect Time to start: Now or may be around October
Order of the topic areas: (ex: starting with less weight then moving onto the harder or by difficulty)
These 4 are the heavy weight topics so start with these ones: FRA, Equity, Fixed Income and Ethics. If you prefer to do ETHICS later, then add Corporate FInance to that list to start with.
The weighting or difficulty of each section on the exam vs. time allocated to that area: Allocate the time in proportion of the weights. But don’t ignore the lower weight topics completely. Derivatives can be time consuming so keep that in mind.
The Best Study material: CFA Curriculum Text Books.
I would recommend CFA Curriculum over any other 3rd party material.
