Why is mean reversion slower when earnings are relatively free of accruals?
When a company has high accruals, it means they are accelerating revenue but not getting paid the revenue. This practice will hit them , because it cant be sustained, and earnings will revert to normal levels very fast.
When accruals are low, the reversion is slower.
Very informative, thanks!
