Question regarding sales forecasting
Im actually forecasting the sales of the company where I work with simple linear regression models and moving averages, but I cannot rely on them too much, since im using only past sales for it (Im picking the monthly sales from the last three years and forecasting the sales for the next 12 months). From the curriculum, other alternatives are recommended, such as lognormal and autoregressive models, which look as if they can model sales better.
Are them the best option for what im doing, or is there any other method which could forecast sales with much more precision? I must point out that this company has seasonality in its sales.
