Valuing a Non-Div. Paying Stock

Well, for the 30s answer: P/E

I guess the answer is how would you value a stock paying a dividend? That the company decides to pay a dividend instead of all the other possible options with free cash flow is only slightly relevant to valuing the stock. Does the “30s answer” mean 1930’s?

sorry, “30 second” answer – though your reference to the 1930s might be just as apt. The 70s answer would be DCF.
