2017 AM Mock Q39

Hi guys!

“While two (dividend yield and P/E) of the four reported characteristics lean slightly toward a growth style, the other two (P/B, projected EPS growth) lean slightly toward a value style”

=> Am I crazy ??? <=

For me the 4 characteristics a more value oriented. They said that the P/E and the dividend yield lean slightly toward a growth style, whereas the P/E is lower than the index (value style) and the dividend yield is higher than the index (value style)…

Thanks by advance++

The P/E is higher and the yield is lower when compared to the index…I think you might be misreading the table and comparing fund 1 to fund 2?

Funds1 VS Index

Div yield : 1.5% vs 0.8% => higher => value

P/E: 21.7 vs 24.7 => lower => value

P/B : 2.6 vs 2.9 => lower => value

EPS rate : 11% vs 13.7% => lower => value

Am I wrong??

you’re using the wrong index. You have to use STI index not SGX

I totally agree thank you. I’ve missed the point “two mutual funds that consist of stocks that are part of the STI”…
