Was the average hours logged about 400/450 hours or is it higher?

heard a few numbers much higher…

I studied around 250-300 hours for level I and 2 but invested close to 500 hrs for lvl 3, I’m still not very confident but I would be very disappointed if I don’t pass.

around 300h for level 1 and 3.

nearly 450h for level 2.

around 300h for level 1 and 3.

nearly 450h for level 2.

over 450 hours done for L3. I hope its enough

I am currently working as a financial advisor (former equity portfolio manager), majored business (B.A), more than 12 years working experience in the financial industry.

around 300 hrs for lv 1, 700 hrs for lv 2, 1,000 hrs for lv 3 to pass all three exam consecutive attempts. (cautious confident to pass)

+500 for L3

+650 Level 3.

Never counted for any Level but safe to say I put in 50% more time than I did for L2

That’s individual thing. Your 300 hrs in wealth management are like 600 mine. L2 FRA was quite easy to me and is hard for some.

375 for both LI and LII; 575 for LIII

725.2 hours of head down in the books studying for LIII

About 350 for level 1, 425 for level 2, 520 for level 3.

https://www.cfainstitute.org/programs/cfaprogram/Pages/cfa_candidate_insights.aspx. Says an average of 334 for level 3

Absolutely current year AF winner. Congratulations!

I read slow, learn slower than most of you probably too. No finance experience going into this program at all. It was necessary. I also had 1 toddler and 2 new children all while taking 2 new jobs these passed three years. My wife said I get 1 shot at all test so, there you have it. I figured 725 hours 1 time is better than 725 hours split over 2 years. Li I think I studied 450 hours and then 615 for LII.

I’d have been lucky to get 100 in for level 1.

~250 for level II

~350 for level III

>700 easy as a retaker

  1. Almost no industry experience. More on L2. Probably a bit less on L1.

with many of us in the 400 - 500 range…even upto 1000…and we are a small sample…if 330 is average (probably based on a sample taken some time and may have some anchoring bias) wonder whether there were some candidates were able to complete it in 150/200 hours or even less…

for me probably over 500 hours T_T
