Ethics - source disclosure

seen conflicting info…

Slim Charles is the protaganist in a CFA case study and has decided to publish an article. Slim Charles uses an article from WSJ and finds information in WSJ from XYZ case study. Slim Charles verifies the info in XYZ and then only lists XYZ in biblography. Am I compliant?

Should list the original source I believe

I think you should cite WSJ instead of XYZ, anyone who is interested furthermore can check the WSJ article and see the link between it and XYZ. if you cite XYZ, anyone who is interested furthermore will not know it’s in WSJ and go straight into XYZ.

although you can disclose that you have verified the info/article from XYZ.
