Performance By Topic Area

Hello Analyst Forum members,

Has anyone on this forum seen a result with an “above 50% but lesser than 70%” score in ALL topic areas, with a pass? Please kindly share if any such exists.

I have failed the Level 3 exam for the second time, and wanted to see if an “above 50% but lesser than 70%” mastery of ALL topic areas is enough to pass the exam. Not that I intend aiming for that level mastery on my next attempt though, but it would be nice to have an idea of what the CFA considers as the minimum level of mastery to earn a passing score.

I passed and only had 1 topic (Trading, Monitoring, Rebalancing, Performance, GIPS) above 70% (on the 90th percentile line). Every other topic was right around 60%, except Equity which was just above 50%.
