Hello all,

Can I use self-created abbreviations in writing of CFA L3?

For example, “The sentiment premium (SP) in the behavioral asset pricing model can be derived from the agreement or disagreement among analysts,.”, using SP instead of sentiment premium, marked in parentheses or "="sign when it first appears?

Can someone who has taken the exam give me a suggestion? Thank you.

If it’s a not so common abb. or not defined in the question, best not to use.

I would avoid doing that. There is a list of common acronyms you must know. Refrain from using anything other than those.

The official website says: “Common abbreviations and symbols are acceptable, but when in doubt, write it out.”

I will only use those appeared in the Curriculums and Schweser Notes.
