As an interviewer, would you be more drawn to a fellow CFA charterholder out of all potential candidates?
I wouldn’t hire a candidate with a higher exam passed level than me
Just kidding.
But sure, it is fun to work with CFA-related people. They seem to “speak” the same language I do.
I’d hire someone who has his concepts well in place and is well versed with every tiny detail may it be a guy with just a Bachelors degree, MBA or CFA.
i’d hire anyone that can do the job at the lowest price. period. so no, probably not a charterholder haha.
Satisfice
Of course I would. We both know what blood, sweat, and tears went into getting the charter. Yeah, non-charterholders often say it’s impressive to have on the resume, but they don’t really know. I imagine the interview would go something like this:
“Oh, I see you’re a charterholder?” As we both lock eyes intently, the smiles from the initial exchanged pleasantries slowly fading from our faces. And both of us just nod in silence for a solid 30 seconds that feels like a lifetime. Followed by “You’re hired”.
Yeah, something like that.
