so its really easy to see what you need to pass with this new scoring rubric. truly provides infinitely more color than the old grading rubrics, so much color in fact…that im pretty sure CFAI will discontinue this after a couple years because theyll be uncomfortable with the level of accuracy candidates are able to poinpoint the MPS.
anyway: the MPS is 58% (ish): a 50 on the essay and a 42/70 on the MC should do it.
if youre a really bad boii and you wanna score in the 90th percentile of candidates? (a clear pass) then you need more like a 70%. a 60% on the essay and a 50/60 on the MC should do it.
just thought i would throw that out there, as a retaker, to allay the concerns of those who are taking your first crack at L3.
