Oh definitely keep practicing and eventually you’ll see everything just flows out of you like water.

Try and write something down and then go back and review the answer. You are just out of practice with the format after l1 and l2. Partly a confidence thing and partly you need need a deeper level of knowledge than multiple choice. I definitely started like that and passed easily in the end. Good luck.

Contrarian approach: Just quit!

If I wanted to quit, I wouldn’t have asked the question.

So, no. I won’t quit.

Suzi - find historical essay questions online, then practice them by subject matter.  i.e. for Institutional, do several years’ worth of Institutional essay questions.  You’ll get a sense of what CFA Institute is looking for on each subject.  Hope this helps.
