Are their specific topics that are covered in the morning session and others in the afternoon? Can you have Fixed Income and Derivatives tested in the morning session or are they only in the afternoon session?
I appreciate your help on this bec I still haven’t started practicing mock exams and would like to know what needs more in depth studying.

This has been asked and answered many, many times.
Ethics and GIPS are extremely rare in the morning, but not unheard of.
Everything else is pretty much fair game in the morning, and ditto in the afternoon, where Ethics and GIPS usually appear.
Topics like FI & Derivatives can be quite challenging in constructive reasoning if they go into depth. Should I dwell on this?
Dwell might be a bit overstating it, but you certainly should practice them.
Option strategies and changing duration/beta/allocation with futures are common topics for morning questions, as are fixed income calculations.
Look over the past morning exams on CFA Institute’s website to get an idea of the sorts of things you should be prepared to see.
