I passed the CFA Level III this year (after failing twice). I thought I might be able to help future candidates with some recommendations for the preparation of the exam.

Important: These recommendations are based on opinions based on my personal experience. Some people failing or passing may have a different opinion of course.
I agree with most of Abracadabrapatadecabra (sorry i had to finish the phrase) suggestions, and without having much to add, it seems natural to me to stress one of the biggest reasons why he made it this time.
While quantity without quality means nothing, he invested in his first and second try for Level III 350 hours in total, while he invested 400 hours for the third try only. This should be a clear message for all aspiring candidates. Even if you were smart/dedicate/lucky enough to pass the first two exams without a lot of efforts, Level III is -as he also pointed out- the hardest of them all.
