Professional References Question

Hello,

Does the reference I plan to use that is a Charterholder have to be a member of the city’s CFA society? I live in Pittsburgh and plan to join the CFA Society of Pittsburgh once approved. My manager is in Portland. For example, can I have two professional references (indtead of three) with one being a CFA Charterholder who is a CFA member and a member of the CFA Portland Society and someone who is not a CFA Charterholder? Or does my one CFA Charterholder reference have to also be a part of the CFA Society of Pittsburgh?

Question: can i use as professional reference a colleague of mine who took the L3 exam with me this June and also passed and has already registered for the charter?

CFA Institute recommends using people that supervise you. Is this person your supervisor?

alright. yes he is a supervisor of mine. then i guess he can be one of my professional references.
