Standard 7B Related Question

Question: A member puts the CFA log on his letterhead, his business cards, and the company letterhead. Answer: But putting the logo on this company letterhead, the member has violated the standard. Is this a violation because only on the company letterhead? Is it a violation to put CFA logo on business card? Someone please explain better than Schweser. Thanks.

As per the standard it is appropriate to use CFA on the business card or letter head of individual charterholders. However the logo must not be incorporated into a company name, confused with a company logo or placed in such close proximity to a company name or logo to give the reader the wrong idea that the CFA certification mark certifies the company. Hope it clarifies. Refer page 109 in CFAI volume 1.

Wow! Thanks for the wonderful clarification!
