New -
– ignore thread button so threads I don’t care about don’t clutter up the forum threadlist
– +1 or ^This button. Sometimes “+1” or “^This” is all you want to say.
Old -
– ignore poster: someone said “per thread” but I’d go farther and say just ignore all postings from a particular poster
– “Like” button
We do have the bookmarks feature that is kind of the opposite of the ignore thread feature you’re suggesting.
What do you propose the “Like” button or the +1 option would do after it is selected?
The “Like” button is like the Facebook “Like” button, if someone said something you agree with or like instead of having to write it all out again, or post +1, you just hit like on the post and make it so it can count how many likes.
It’s an easy way to participate for people who usually read stuff. It’s a great idea and will be AF more interactive.
