A number of expected IPOs are likely to be pushed back into 2016 due to the recent weak stretch in the retail sector and some lackluster IPO debuts.
Do people agree with this, and will IPOs perhaps be delayed even loger than just into next year??
You mean until 2017? No, they will not be delayed that long. However, it’s pretty clear that the capital markets are shutting for speculative issuances. Buyers of most 2015 biotech IPOs and SEOs can proceed directly to crying in their cheerios now, you’ve all been severely bagged, thanks for playing. Tech VCs who didn’t hit the window and pillage bad public markets investors with very overpriced deals are likely regretting it now.
