How do you sell asset management to filthy rich unsophisticated arrogant clients?

Who consider real estate the only proper investment and have bought half of the town already?

With empirical data that shows nothing has outperformed equities over the past 100 years. Now selling them on AM vs Indexed Funds might be a little more difficult.

IMO, you don’t. We have a lot of these in South Florida. Identify the target audience your product/service caters to and focus your energy on that.

Those who love the allure of a physical asset they can touch, see, etc. just aren’t likely to be interested, no matter how spectacular your offering may be quantitatively. Your best bet might be to try and get into whatever the popular private wealth management platforms are in your area to access this crowd.

i know a lot of people like this. you wont convince them right away. just continuously discredit real estate through charts that show it was in a bubble in 2007, and we are approaching the same prices. identify factors that affects real estate. interest, income, multiples of real estate as well as what happening to the industry.
