units of a bond (how does bond trading work)

Sometime we buy a odd notional amounts of a bond for a client (I am not on the trading side and all this gets handled by back office), for example 101,000 k USD (for a bond that has a min increment of 1k USD). How does this trade clear? Does each 1k of par have its own identifier by which it is referred to by the clearing house? So my the client actually buys 101 “units” somewhere in a system there will be 101 identifier numbers for those units?

Thanks,

This has probably been resolved, but it gets reported to TRACE as 101 units of the $1k bond, all done for some price, let’s say par (100% of $1000). Inidivual units are not differentiated, since the bonds are all the same.

thanks
