Anything other than a nice clean bull market gonna leave you disappointed with their returns. Hell, over a long enough time period the market could be up and you could be down. Volatility kills these things.

One thing I’ve been wanting to play around with is tax loss harvesting the 2x strategy. With sufficiently low trading costs, it seems like using the 2x to generate losses in down markets and then moving to 1x until the wash sale rule is over could be a good source of additional returns. Have to model it though
^ I utilized that strategy too but with company funds.
