I literally laughed out loud when I first read that news story, and that rarely happens. It’s just so fitting.
But as STL said, this is actually positive for the Jets. Now they don’t have to worry about Geno doing just enough to keep the starting job before turning to FitzMagic.
It’s a pretty big news story today around the league and I didn’t see any football topic. Your comment is utterly hysterical though. Think you got it the other way around.
I’m a Giants fan, not a Jets fan, so I wouldn’t know what Jets fans obsess about. Whenever there is a story about the Jets though, at least 1/3 of online comments are from Pats fans saying what losers the Jets are. While it’s true that the Jets are losers, I don’t understand why Pats fans feel so compelled to comment. It seems to me that it would be beneath them. I get it that the Jets are division rivals, but the Jets haven’t won the division in more than a decade. I don’t see the same obsession over the Bills, so why the Jets?
Well you’d think it’d be beneath them but there’s a lot of ugly history between the two franchises. It’s really petty and it goes all the way up the chain as evidenced by the recent tampering charges. Rex Ryan’s big mouth didn’t help things. I’m actually ecstatic he’s staying in the division though, he makes it fun.
If you’re using “online comments” to judge anything though, everyone loses. There are idiots everywhere. I mean the Jets fans created billboards and flew planes over Pats practices in relation to this most recent deflation “scandal”, which was obviously pathetic. But of course in retaliation Pats fans did the same damn thing… sigh.
I was referring to the quantity of comments from Pats fans WRT the Jets. It obviously makes sense for Jets fans to obsess over the Pats, the Pats are the big dog. Everyone in the AFC wants to be them. The Jets are a lowly, nothing franchise. I was forgetting though that it was the Jets who originally outed the Pats as cheaters, so I guess that is some reason to want to jump on them at any chance.
