"Will a Sheep’s Wool Grow Forever?"

This has been a pressing question that has haunted my life. Apparently, yes.

(“Forever” means throughout the sheep’s life, I guess.)

shrek the sheep

Take a moment to drink in the glory of Shrek the Sheep. Shrek really, really, really did not like getting his hair cut. So for six years, this New Zealand libertarian managed to avoid spring shearings by hiding in a cave.

By the time he was found in 2004, his owners couldn’t even tell he was a sheep. “He looked like some biblical creature,”"

Nice layer of protection from predators

“La – Lanolin? Like – like sheep’s wool?”

Wait, isn’t this the way they were supposed to look ?

Shrek is love, Shrek is life.

Shrek must have smelt like pokhim’s garden when he was found

I would assume pretty much all modern sheep have been bred to produce as much wool as possible, so I don’t know if we can still say that’s how they were “supposed” to look. If humans had never discovered that they could shave sheep and weave cloth from their fur, maybe sheep would look much different today.

^Yes ,shaving sheep is a human made thing. I guess they were supposed to end up looking like balls of fur.

This sheep has become much more valuable now.

Sheep are human made things too, which just grow hair all the time. Wild ancestors didn’t do that so the situation wouldn’t occur.
