The only good things so far seem to be discounts on Amazon’s own devices. Otherwise, it’s a bunch of household things that seem to be just normal price, no name branded clothing, and miscellaneous other bulldick. I mean look at this f*ing thing. Great deal right there.
If someone is willing to experiment with such clothing for due to their low prices I’m sure that there are cheaper and crappier looking stuff around to buy.
I’m also pretty sure that except their own flagship gadgets and a few other good deals the other items on sale are picked out by machines due to their time on the shelf and such.
Most of it looked like crap, though that TV nerdyblop posted last night had me thinking a bit… did end up snagging some pretty sweet headphones for $15.
I’m confused as to why 7-10-2017 was chosen as Prime Day by Bezos since 7102017 is clearly divisible by 3 (since the sum of its digits is divisible by 3) and hence not a prime. It would have been a lot more appropriate to wait until 7-20-2017 since this is prime; however, sadly that date wouldn’t have been a prime number in Europe since 20-7-2017 is divisible by 41. Question - how long would Bezos need to wait until the next prime day which works both in the US and Europe?
I thought it was 7-10-2017 because of Ohai’s original post.
Still, neither 7-11-2017 nor 11-7-2017 are primes since they are both divisible by 11. Fun fact: that’s easy to check by taking the alternating sum of the digits and see if that is divisible by 11:
7-1+1-2+0-1+7=11 which is divisible by 11, therefore 7112017 is divisible by 11 and not a prime.
1-1+7-2+0-1+7=11 which is divisible by 11, therefore 1172017 is divisible by 11 and not a prime.
Nice try Bezos, prime day fails both in the US and Europe again.
^ True, although they have kid proof cases for about $14. A better deal to get the $29 tablet and a $14 case. I think the kid version has kid friendly apps as well, so missing out on that.
