I get these little single serve containers that look like kids juiceboxes that are about 8oz and have 10g protein. 50 cal. The taste is a bit bland for me so I mix with a little stock.

I’ve been on a strong health kick for the last few months and a friend mentioned he has been crushing bone broth. Is this a fad? Or does this stuff actually work?

Original post was exactly a year from today so curious to see how many people are still drinking this?

wait what? This is a new thing? I pretty much grew up on the stuff along with heart disease levels of red meat, potatoes and vegetables boiled until they no longer have any flavour or texture.

These were the days before you had all that fancy stuff like pasta.

Talking about food, what the fuck is the story with green bean casserole, pumpkin pie and those minging salads? Also, mac and cheese is not a side.

yeah I know its been around forever… articles were written over the last few years calling it ‘liquid gold’ and stating some far fetched health benefits. I don’t know if these benefits were overstated or if anyone saw a tangible impact

One of the key aspects of bone broth for muscle bros is that it supplies a low calorie, high nutrient and protein rich broth to your body which is advantageous for going lean without losing muscle mass.

I don’t really like it alone and pour some chicken broth or beef broth or mushroom broth in for more fat/flavor.

Stock is indeed liquid gold. I use it for risotto, as a base for other soups/gravy, and just for sipping on a coooold winter night. Maybe some of the health benefits are overblown, but I’ll take any I can get!! :+1:

Broth is around for a long time. We used to drink it when we went to Chunky Cheese to save money.
