Just wanted to share a pen recommendation. The Uniball Signo .38mm pen. They’re $1 each at Staples at the cash register where I am, and they’re the shit. A real pleasure to write with. They’re Japanese so you know some dude probably spent some ridiculous amount of time working on these things… to get them… just… right.
There’s a great review of them in the nyt. I completely agree with the authors assessment of its precision and how its a great balance between a surgical tool and a good free flow of ink, and with how American pens feel like shoveling dirt around in comparison.
Ha, I just got my work to order a dozen of the below pens as I find them to be the easiest/cleanest to write with. I wonder if these are the same pens…
Disregard, looks like they’re a bit different, and 0.7MM instead of the 0.38MM. Uniball does make them in .7MM though so maybe they outsource to uniball.
