California here we come! my nerdy thots and prop results!

Prop 2 passed. subsidized housing for mental people. (would they know the difference) 2b cost.

prop 4 passed. funding for children hospital care. (children are our future) 1.4b cost

prop 5 failed. no subsidy for old people tax assesments when moving. (they get enough ss)

prop 6 failed. we keep road funding and gas tax! (traffic is bad enough, driving tax!)

prop 7 passed. option to eliminate daylight saving time changes. (YES, no idea why we have to change time)

prop 8 failed. dialysis centers can overcharge (my kidneys are fine thx god)

prop 10 failed. less rent control! cannot touch new buildings or dictate prices. (yay!, rent control would have killed development)

prop 11 passed. requires ambulance people to remain on call during breaks. (no breaks for emergencies!)

prop 12 passed. more farm animal rights. chicken cages, how to slaughter pigs. (dafuq, who cares!, now my food more expensive)

Proposition 10 was not about more rent control or less rent control.

It was simply about whether rent control would be determined by the state government, or by county governments.

Proposition 12 was not necessarily about better conditions for animals.

It was about specifying metrics for those conditions. Without specific metrics, many animal farmers have been giving animals more room than the proposition would require.

Isn’t being on call essentially a long break?

Oh that? Just mulling over business problems, examining opportunities, exchanging rumors, spreading gossip.

Lol, never thought of it that way. Nevertheless, why does Cali need a prop for this, isn’t this just a management or HR issue?
