Is this like a reverse Nery story? Some guy supposedly eavesdropped on banker fiance and used the information for insider trading. This should be wife criteria - looks like Arianna Grande, willing to relocate to Philippines, and provides useful non public information.

<3 that’s a heart bae

The guy was a moron. Apparently he bought ridiculously out of the money options with short expiration dates. In many cases there was no open interest in the contracts.

OTM call or put options are the #1 insider trading vehicle apparently (according to my compliance). You should assume such trades will immediately be checked by your broker.

The other question is whether the wife was involved but let husband take the fall. If they don’t get divorced, 95% chance they were in a conspiracy together.

Haha Matt Levine covered this and discussed how it works with his rules of insider trading
