Best dive in the history of dives (soccer)

Not a big soccer fan here but I have watched my fair share of soccer games and seen some ridiculous dives…but this one takes the cake:

Looks like soccer players are following suit with the rest of the society and becoming butt hurt about everything.

It’s a big flop but doesn’t even break the Top 40 in that sport.

There is one famous one where some player is arguing with a coach, then the coach somehow pretends the guy strikes him in the head and collapses. After a split second, the player decides that he wants to dive also and collapses.

One big reason I don’t like soccer, other that it’s boring. If I were in charge, if you get caught faking an injury, your team loses the game and you are banned for life. No room for cheaters and losers in my league! Only winners!

Oh and if you’re in that much pain that you can’t shake it off, you get to go home early, gotta be a man!

it is the only sport that encourages dishonesty, lots of games won on those dives

As Taylor Swift once said cu they players going to play play play play. And the haters gonna hate hate hate. But I’m just going to shake it off. Shake it off!!!

What’s the pussboy in that video thinking? That the ref will reward his team with a free kick?

They should start giving out yellow and red cards on the reg for blatant dives. Right now, diving is almost like a call option with zero prem.

Imagine if in football, (the real one, America first), the players dived and writhered around in pain after any contact, every down would look ridiculous!

Or NHL players. Or rugby players.

I think this is the one you’re talking about:

It’s certainly one for the history books. Slow mo at it’s finest.

Then again, there are coaches who fall down after being hit by a paper plane

This is one of the things that really winds me up about football - others being the blatant corruption of FIFA and UEFA and the fact that my team hasn’t qualified for the world cup in over 20 years.

It used to be just the south americans and southern europeans and we looked down on them for play acting but it’s spread now and they’re all up to it. The guy in the video has literally nothing to gain from the situation so it must be totally ingrained in him to behave like that, almost an instinct

In the last year alone I’ve been at games where a prop broke his forearm and had to be pretty much dragged off the pitch by the physio and another game where a winger dislocated his shoulder and was down, noticed that the other team were attacking their line so popped up and tackled the guy into touch.

They wear pads so it’s not a contact sport

You should watch clips of the Italian national team practicing flops…that’ll really get your blood boiling.
