Historically,at least from the Iranian side they have always escalated tensions before showing up for talks and negotiations so this could be a power move on their part trying to provoke the US into a limited conflict or something,what do y’all think ?
It’s kinda obvious the Iranian mullahs know they’d be crushed in a full out war but at the same time they could be betting the U.S will not get provoked that easily.
I don’t think Trump has any intention of backing off the pressure on “Evil” country Iran. These guys probably know it, so they are not worried about shooting down the drones. Might as well drive up some nationalistic sentiment through anti-US while they are at it.
They want to start enriching uranium for power/building nukes. After international outcry, they sign the JCPOA and everything is fine. 2 years later, the US pulls out of the JCPOA and applies sanctions. Shortly after, a tanker is attacked and the US blames Iran, despite the fact that they offer no proof, and every country actually involved in the attack doesn’t say Iran is responsible. Despite this, the US holds firm and continues to say Iran is responsible for a terrorist attack. So we got the US, who pulled out of an international treaty and trying to rally international support for war against Iran, is caught spying on Iran. Can you really blame them for seeing the US as a hostile threat?
