He got a sweetheart deal last time round, which according to lawyer alan dershowitz was approved by the DC Feds (from Dershowitz’s twitter feed “The plea bargain went through numerous levels of approval at main justice. It was by the book. You just don’t like result.”) There’s been a lot of speculation that Epstein was let off the hook last time in return for cooperating with an investigation into Bear Stearns (epstein used to work for the bear before he went solo)

I’m wondering now whether Hillary is going to return any donations she got from Epstein. Since you mentioned Weinstein, it’s interesting to look back and see what happened to Epstein’s donations.

It’s not about the money people took from this douche, but rather how many of them knew about his perversions but didn’t use their immense power and influence to intervene. Clinton flew on his planes. Trump joked that he knows Epstein likes them on the young side, very young… That’s awful.

Nerdy has come to appreciate that much like soaking and celibacy, these things are relative across social constructs. I would like to open with the disclaimer that Epstein is gross, broke the law and should be punished, I think that even outside a legal framework we can all agree this is pretty messed up. That having been said, two generations ago, people were commonly getting married at the ages involved here, so things are certainly a matter of cultural perspective.
