Hmm, I just noticed that they don’t even want to make a base for the seats. So, they are suspended on poles.
The prime target for these seats are low cost airlines in Asia, where plane tickets can cost $40 or less. Even today, these airlines cram more people into airplanes than would be tolerated in the US.
