Should I go with the 8 or the X? I kinda like having a real button on the bottom. But I’ve heard the X is the coolest thing since the other side of the pillow.

As for the tangible benefits of iPhone X over iPhone 8 - the main difference to me is the double camera on the iPhone X. I’ve seen some pictures with it, and it can really do things that iPhone 8 cannot, specifically with respect to optical zoom and depth of field. If the camera is important to you, like if you post a lot on Instagram with the latinas you meet in the club, then this alone might justify the extra cost of iPhone X.
I wouldn’t pay more for the better screen and trendy design, but that is just me.
I know a guy worth 6m but uses the tiny iPhones. iPhones are amazing even when they are old. But I still like to upgrade since I am buying at half off

Anyone else think Nerdy works in PWM and all his wealthy friends are clients/prospects he’s met through work? Nothing wrong with it, it’s just odd to always talk about house worth down to home equity level with the boys…at least in my circle.
Both my parents changed their phones two weeks ago, my father got the X, mother got Samsung S10 or whatever is the latest. Even a guy like myself who doesn’t know much about Photography can tell how better quality the Samsung phone is.
Also, the battery needs a charge every two days or so, which is really nice.
Anyways you don’t want the Samsung so go buy whatever you want.
If you want the best overall phone, go Samsung S10. If you want the phone with the best camera, go Huawei P30 Pro.

I have an Xs. I would recommend it. But, I didn’t put a case on my first one and then broke it in a couple months - it is slippery. The smooth sides are hard to hold. At first, it survived some harsh drops on concrete. Then, it had a small crack that spread. Then I shattered the back real bad. I haven’t cracked my 2nd one yet. I also have taken it on some wet journeys on my road bike. It seems to be ok.
