What whiskey do you pour in a hot toddy?

Don’t have too much whiskey left. Have a half a bottle of glenlivet left, and about half a bottle of Jameson.

The jamo is probably going to taste better?

although I think it properly requires bourbon. In either case I’m home sick today and want y’all recommendations.

Our 1975 © Joy of Cooking – the hands-down, unassailable authority on all things from the kitchen, barbecue, and wet bar – specifies “whisky, rum, or brandy” for a Toddy.

Note the spelling on “whisky”. It ain’t bourbon.

Personally, I’d brew some Earl Grey or Lapsang Souchong and embellish it with the Glenlivet (which, while it isn’t remotely my favorite scotch, at least ain’t Glenfiddich). Generously.

The same whiskey you pour in anything–Kentucky Deluxe.

Hmm, I see what you mean here. Always thought it was a drink that originated in Tennessee for some reason though. But ok.

Coors light & Glenlivet. I’m a basic boy.

Apparently the word toddy is of Indian origin.

Next you gonna tell me that “Luddite” isn’t a word used to describe people from the town of Ludd?
