Because life. There is absolutely a diminishing return to adding as many qualifications to your CV as possible, particularly when they span such a broad range of fields as this. You could argue that for some people learning = life, but you could easily do this without needing to cover course costs as well as the ongoing associated membership fees.
On the ongoing membership fees, agree that this is merely an assumption, however given you typically need to pay dues to be able to use these designations after your name publicly I feel it’s a fairly well-founded one.
Seems I’ve hit somewhat of a nerve here though - you do you man.
I agree, these sort of people are generally covering for career deficiencies. You can learn (and far more efficiently about better topics) without a bunch of meaningless certifications. Plus they’re all overlapping (and this person is putting it out there publicly) so it’s about some misguided ego trip.
i don’t know what half of those acronyms are but i hate when people put bcom or b-whatever when it is redundant. i personally feel that including b-whatever actually takes away from the others as it proves he is just getting the designations to add length to his head mast.
Once Mother said “My little pet You ought to learn your alphabet!” So in my soup I used to get All the letters of the alphabet I learned them all from A to Z And now my Mother’s giving me Animal crackers in my soup Monkeys and rabbits loop the loop Gosh, oh gee! but I have fun Swallowing animals one by one
